Today I was able to view the final ceremony of the funeral for Ronald Reagan.
This past week has given me a lot of time to think and reflect.
I am 30 years younger. I have always tried to do the right thing in my personal and professional life. I have always
felt the need to treat others the way I would like to be treated.
I look and listen to our leaders. Sometimes I disagree, but I am free to react how I want.
Sometimes life throws us a curve ball. Sometimes it really kicks us in the behind. Life is a learning experience.
We only have one life to live, so we need to make it the best we can.
I am sure you have all heard and read what President Reagan has done, and who he was. In his private life and
in his public life. Most of us have probably not given it too much thought over the years as they happened. But
how one man has really touched our lives is now being told again. Yes we are at war. A war that must be won.
Yes our world as we knew it before 911, has changed. In time I believe we will succeed. Until that time we must
do what is necessary to show who we are and what we stand for.
We are a great nation. At times we seem divided on almost everything. At times we are all united together. It is
too bad it takes a disaster or a tragedy for us to be that way.
Why can't we unite for good things? Why can't we treat everyone with respect and dignity?
911 has changed our Country, but our Country is also changing on its own.
Two people in a family must work to make ends meet. Children are left to an alternative family way of life.
Schools are not allowed to teach real history, real values, Churches are being omitted from any public programs.
This Country was founded by people that believed in a Christian Principle. It does not mean everyone had to be
a Christian. I feel the one mistake we have done as a nation is that the English language was not made the
official language. All people from all nations are welcome to come to the United States.
However they should obey all of our laws. If they choose they should become citizens and share in what we have.
We now cater to all nations, let them come here and restart their little country. Use their language, build their
beliefs into changing our country into what they want or so they can get what they want.
I have said in my American First page, Why can't America be first. Not Mexican-American, African American,
etc. We are all Americans. If this is not what they want, then maybe they have chosen the wrong country to live
in.
There are a lot of other things that are affecting our Country. Drugs, Sex, Press, Music, Freedom and Courts are
some of these items.
We let illegals cross our borders and them give them amnesty and benefits, while we make it difficult for others
to come here legally.
California has drivers license test in several languages. Some of our schools are teaching English as a second
language. We should be teaching English as a first language to young students, or anyone that needs to learn it.
I remember in California that in some communities people had to put up English addresses and names so that
emergency people could respond.
I have nothing against anyone from another lifestyle, or another country. When we go to another country, we
have to respect their laws, their languages, their lifestyles. Why is that not true here?
We have a great nation, we have freedom to do just about anything we want. We need to make sure that never
leaves.
